You Live on Avenue Q, All Your Friends Do Too!

Well work is over, and there hasn't been an uneventful second since!

Be proud, people. I finally drank enough that I threw up... in a 5 star restaurant in New York City before seeing Avenue Q on Broadway Saturday.

Friday night I went to stay with Mike in Fairfield seeing as he had two tickets (for a late birthday present!) for him and me to see Avenur Q the next day! Saturday morning we lay in bed together watching TV as one of Mike's friends entered the room and must have thought she was interrupting something... oy vey. Saturday afternoon we went with his sister and her boyfriend (?) Chris, who is 31, to the city to eat before the show. Amazing reataurant, Trattoria del' Arte, fabulous food and fabulous wine (seeings as "fabulous" was the word of the night once we started drinking...) the 4 of us got through a bottle before we were even served dinner, and a second as we ate. The third bottle came around dessert, and let's just say we were all bombed and cracking up over the fact that we have had roughtly 3/4 of a bottle EACH by this time. I chugged my last glass and pumped my fists in the air triumphantly. I then had Mike lead me down to the bathrooms where I was sick. The worst part is there were attendents in the bathroom watching me, habnding me towels and such. Went back upstairs and finished the next glass of wine the waiter had pured for me (heh) before we all stumbled outside to get a cab for the theatre. Mike and I were ok by the time the play started...

We got to our seats... there was nothing between us and the stage!!! That's right, righgt up front! We could see the actors sweating, we wewre enveloped by smoke from the smoke machines, at one point the actors jumped down from the stage into the audience and on of them kicked me as she came down! We could rest our elbows on the stage if we wanted... Mike even "participated" in the show at one point! (hehe) And the show, my god! there's so much there that you don't get on the CD, like the sesame street-like cartoon clips they play on nthe televisions on either side of the stage. I don't want to give too much away here, but Mike was right, it was hysterical and totally defined our generation, like a RENT for...what are we? Generation Y? What an experience! At the end of the show, we DROVE back to CT. Chris drove and got us from the middle of the city to Fairfield in UNDER AN HOUR. Slept over Fairfirld again Saturday night. Don't think I was hungover. Started to get a bit of a cold though. Now it's Monday and my cousins from California are visiting with my uncle so we're doing a family dinner in a little bit, I also have a bit of a cold like I have sever times this summer... bleh, along with an earache. But it's nice to not have to go to work, and so glad I ended it with all the events of this past weekend. Now I have five days to pack and prepare for school, and hopefully have one or two last horahs and see everyone for dinner or something.

Well those are my thoughts and that's my weekend... ciao!

yeah, I want to, it'll probably be spur of the moment with most people still working. Most likely Thursday or Friday...
